Mumbai University offers BMM course via its affilated colleges, including Kelkar Education Trust's V.G.Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Hinduja College of Commerce and Bhavan's College, among others. IME Mumbai is conducting Section-A and Section-B of associate engineering examinations in Mechanical Engineering twice an year in semester pattern in  June and December at par with degree in mechanical engineering from any recognised institute. This course is specially meant for those who are working. They can apply for GATE and for higher studies. So if you are working professional and wants to upgrade your qualification, then this can be a good option. Otherwise go with regular B.Tech course from any institute near to you.

IMU Mumbai accepts Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) scores for admission to BTech in Marine Engineering. IMUCET Round 2 cutoff is out and as per the data, the closing rank for BTech in Marine Engineering was 898 for the students belonging to the General AI category. The Round 1 cutoff for the same course was 475. So, considering both the rounds, stundent with a rannk of 3000 will not be eliginle to get admission at IMU Mumbai for BTech in Marine Engineering.
