Both are totally different streams and both have different scopes, comparison therefore is not possible. Just choose the one that you are really passionate about. Don't listen to people around you and get confused, otherwise you will go haywire. Just think, realize follow your dreams.

Hi Bhasha, scope is broad and you will find jobs depending on the area of specialization, your skills and qualification. There are more than 100 university programs in US related to music. With a music degree you can be a music therapist, a musician, music teacher, broadcast engineer, radio producer and so on. Some of the best universities or conservatories in US offering master's degree include Juilliard School, Berklee College of Music,Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College-The New School for Music and San Francisco Conservatory of Music to name a few. Well practically very limited opportunity. If you were a sound engineer it would have been better to join this field. Scope is very less and salary offered are minimal.

I mean it's good if u get into classical
cuz then u can go abroad and abroad ppl are really interested in indian classical music
and it also depends on Ur parents I mean if Ur parents don't want u to get into singing then I would suggest u to sort out the matter with them
