No, the National Aptitude Test for Architecture NATA is not necessary for an interior design course in India. NATA is an entrance examination for architecture courses, not for an interior design course. National Aptitude Test for Architecture Colleges offers architectural design in housing, regional, industrial, environmental, transport, landscape, and so on. However, if you want to do an interior design course, you have to write the CEPT, AIEED SEED UID, IIAD, NID, GD Goenka, Pearl Academy Entrance Exam, etc.

50% of marks weightage is NATA & 50% mark weightage of Board marks + NATA score /2 in other words the average of the above-mentioned should be above 150 to get admission. Average score is 90-120.

GATE is accepted for All M.Tech and Ph.D. courses at the Indian Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology and other private or government engineering colleges. NATA is for Architecture B.Arch courses that are accepted across private architecture and government architecture colleges. Eligibility: With PCM and mathematics as the main subject in your 10+2 respectively. I hope this will help you.
