Eligibility for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme at NID Vijayawada is carefully outlined to ensure that candidates possess the necessary academic background and aptitude for design. To be considered for admission, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:Academic Qualifications:have passed or will appear for the higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2024–25.Attained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations.passed from any stream, including science, arts, commerce, humanities, etc., from a recognised board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or an equivalent.National Entrance Test (NET) or Design Aptitude Test (DAT):Have you appeared for the National Entrance Test (NET) or Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by NID? The DAT is a crucial component in assessing a candidate's design aptitude, creativity, and problem-solving skills.Portfolio Submission:Candidates are required to submit a portfolio showcasing their design work. This portfolio serves as a tangible representation of the candidate's creativity, design thinking, and ability to express ideas visually.Meeting these eligibility criteria ensures that candidates have a solid academic foundation and have demonstrated their aptitude for design through the competitive entrance tests and portfolio submission.  Pass in graduation and only candidates born on or after 1 July 1991 are eligible to apply for admission to the General Category and EWS Category. Only Indians born after 1 July 1988 may apply for admission if they belong to the Reserved Category (Other Backward Class-Non Creamy Layer (OBCNCL), Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST).Educational Qualification: Any university or institute recognised by law in India must award a Bachelor's degree of at least four years duration in any specialisation after the 12th standard. Candidate must have passed the Bachelor's Degree examinations at the time of document verification tentatively scheduled in May 2023.

The basic eligibility criteria that students must fulfil to avail Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students are given below:The applicant must be above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class 12 or equivalent.The applicant must be pursuing regular degree courses and not correspondence or distance mode or pursuing Diploma courses.The applicant must be pursuing courses at colleges/institutions recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education and the respective Regulatory Bodies concerned.The applicant must not be availing the benefit of any other scholarship schemes including State-run scholarship schemes/ fee waivers & reimbursement schemes.The gross parental/family income of the applicant should not exceed ?4,50,000 per annum.For renewal of scholarship in each year of study, besides getting at least 50% marks in the Annual Examination, maintenance of adequate attendance of at least 75%, will also be the criteria.

Eligibility Criteria: Applications for academic year 2023-24 are open to candidates who have passed or willappear for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2022–23 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities etc.) from anyrecognisedboard ofeducation such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or equivalent.Maximum: 20 yearsFor Indian Nationals in General Category and General EWS Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 2003 are eligible to apply for admission.For Indian Nationals in Reserved Category like Other Backward Class-Non Creamy Layer, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe: Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 2000 are eligible to apply for admission.For Indian Nationals in PwD Reserved Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 1998 are eligible to apply for admission.For Foreign Nationals in Overseas Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 2003 are eligible to apply for admission.
