NID, which was established in 1961 in Ahmedabad, does not provide a B.FTech course. The institute is a leading design institution, offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in design programs that focus on industrial design, communication design, and strategic design management. NID is well known nationally and internationally for its creative problem-solving and innovative design approaches. For technical fashion education, students should look into NIFT, which offers comprehensive B.FTech programs across multiple campuses in India. NID continues to strive for progress in design education and professional practice.

NID Ahmedabad's affiliated colleges offering B. Des specialisations through NID entrance exam. Taking into consideration, the last-round cutoff, getting a 70 rank is not sufficient to allow you to take admission at the institutes affiliated to NID Ahmedabad. Considering the NID Ahmedabad cutoff 2024, all the specialisations has the common rank of 43 for General AI category candidates. Similarly, for the OBC AI category, the common cutoff stood at 45.

Yes, a student from the GSEB (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board) can get admission to the National Institute of Design (NID). Admission to NID is not confined to college students from any unique schooling board. However, applicants need to meet the following eligibility criteria and correctly bypass the required front exams.

No, NID Ahmedabad (National Institute of Design) does not run a course of study on Diploma in Graphics Design. NID runs primarily Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M Des) with specializations in design in graphics, but these specializations also fall into larger design streams such as graphics, textiles, industrial design, animation and much more. But NID can provide certificate programs that run for shorter duration which is focused on graphics designs. You can then, for example, if seeking a Diploma in graphic design, search other institutes offering such a Diploma or in similar programs of study.
