Yes, NID Ahmedabad does offer BDes at undergrad level that lasts for four years. The BDes prgramme is spread across eight semesters which is offered under multiple specialisations Animation Film Design,  Graphic Design,  Product Design,  Furniture and Interior Design, etc. Admission to NID Ahmedabad is based on the DAT exam conducted by the National Institute of Design. Selection criteria: DAT Prelims (40% weightage) + DAT Mains (60% weightage)Eligibility: A pass in Class 12 in any stream is required to apply for BDes course. DAT is a national-level exam conducted by NID in two stages, prelims and mains. Candidates who are shortlisted from the DAT will be invited to the DAT at NID Jorhat. There is no limit to the number of times a candidate can attempt the DAT.

The NID Gandhinagar and NID Ahmedabad are in one state, they both are managed by the same government of India. The IIRF rank of NID Gandhinagar is 17 and IIRF rank of NID Ahmedabad is 1.
