NID Bangalore and NID Ahmedabad cannot really be compared because NID Bangalore is the extended campus of NID Ahmedabad and the institutes have a common admission process and a centralised placement cell.NID Ahmedabad offers BDes and MDes, on the other hand NID Bangalore offers only MDes course.Both the NID institutes offers different MDes specialisations, therefore the choice of institute will majorly depend on the specialisation selection of a candidate. NID Bangalore admission process is primarily entrance-based, and the admission process is as under:STEP 1: Before applying for a course at NID, prospective students should carefully review the course-specific eligibility criteria. Those who meet the eligibility requirements can submit their applications through the NID official website, ensuring that the submission is completed before the specified deadline.STEP 2: Further, aspirants are required to take the NID Entrance Exam. On the day of the exam, candidates must carry their NID DAT admit card for verification.STEP 3: After successful conduct NID Entrance exam the institute releases the exam results. The institute may also release a cutoff list, indicating the minimum marks necessary for candidates to qualify for admission.STEP 4: NID issues provisional offer letters to eligible candidates.STEP 5: Candidates must participate in the allotment rounds to secure a seat in their desired program.

The NID Entrance Exam is considered among the toughest design entrance exam conducted in the country. In NID DAT, more weightage is given to subjective, drawing related questions. Experts and test takers state that the overall difficulty level of the NID DAT 2022 exam was moderately difficult.As per NID DAT 2021 exam analysis, the level of difficulty of the question paper for the BDes course was easy to moderate. For B.Des, this stage involves a Studio Test, while M.Des applicants undergo both a Studio Test and a Personal Interview, the latter being conducted online, in contrast to the offline mode of the Studio Test for both programs.
