National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad provides hostels to all out-stationed BDes students. Hostel accommodation is allocated only for a year and students have to apply for reallocation every year. Subscription to mess facilities is compulsory for all hostel residents. Local students cannot apply for hostel accommodation. Rooms are semi-furnished with a bed, a desk, a chair and storage space for each student.

NID Ahmedabad Placements provides modern amenities with state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students. The facilities include a guest house, dining, health care, counselling, extracurricular activities, etc. Also, the institute provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Moreover, the institute’s hostels in Paldi and Gandhinagar accommodate approximately 450 and 200 students respectively.

No, the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) score is not considered for the NID entrance test. For entry into BArch programs at various Indian architectural colleges, applicants must pass the NATA aptitude test. Only DAT scores are accepted by NID Bengaluru for admission to the MDes program.

Admission criteria for MDes at the National Institute of Design, Bengaluru is For admission to the M. Des candidates should have passed B. Des or any other graduate degree in a relevant discipline, followed by NID DAT-Design Aptitude Test with two levels: DAT Mains and DAT Prelims. Age Limit: There is no age limit for applying to the MDes program at NID Bangalore.

No, you can not take direct admission at National Institute of Design, Bengaluru.For admission, A candidate must have taken both the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains to be eligible for admission. According to each category's DAT Prelims scores, a merit list is created. Candidates are invited to the DAT Mains based on that merit list. Studio exam and interview are both part of DAT Mains.
