The National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad's Bachelor of Design (BDes) study requires completion of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board in any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts). Candidates must be 20 years old or younger as of June 30 of the admission year, with a three-year relaxation for reserved category candidates. Candidates must also pass the two-stage NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT), which consists of preliminary and final exams that test design skills, creativity, and problem-solving ability. The National Institute of Design (NID) has released the institute-wise admission cut-off for NID DAT 2024. The cut-off was released on June 24, 2024. It includes the closing ranks for the B.Des program. The qualifying cut-off is category-specific. Note that the number of candidates shortlisted for DAT Mains is no less than three times the number of seats available in each category. NID Ahmedabad students enjoy a good college life. The college surrounding is beautiful and made according to the student's liking. The college conducts various workshops and seminars. NID Ahmedabad offers hostel facilities to students. The hostels are neat and clean and has games area intalled for students.

To prepare NID Ahmedabad students for jobs in their respective fields, the college has a placement cell. The placement cell conducts seminars and workshops along with training students for the interview round. NID Ahmedabad students can take part in the mock interviews conducted by the college.

There is only one NID DAT entry exam held each year. DAT Prelims and DAT Mains are the two sub-exams for the exam. Based on their DAT Prelim results, candidates are selected for the DAT Mains exam. The DAT preliminary exam takes place in late December or early January. The NID DAT 2024 scores will be taken into account for determining admission to the B.Des and M.Des programmes that participating NIDs offer.

It is difficult to put a specific number as to how many sample papes one needs to solve. But that being said, you must try at least 10 sample papers. Also, make sure that the sample papers covers the entire syllabus and are not repetitative.For instance, some sample papers may contain the same types of questions, though the language may be altered a bit. If you need to get the maximum out of the sample papers, their content needs to be different.Also, along with sample papers solve practice questions, typically given at the end of a chapter or book.
