As per the NID DAT exam pattern, the design entrance test is conducted in two stages: that Prelims and that Mains exams. That prelims exam is a written aptitude test on design. Only such candidates who clear NID prelims can appear in the that Mains exam, which includes a studio test and Personal Interview (only for M.Des programme). To prepared for the B. NID DAT, along with NIFT and UCEED are among the most competitive national-level entrance exams in the country. The fact that there are only 425 seats for the B. The recheck window for DAT Mains results will be open soon from May 21 (4 pm) to May 22 (4 pm), 2024. Note that the results of DAT Mains will be announced on May 21, 2024. Candidates who have any objections against the DAT Mains results can submit request requests through the admission portal of NID - admissions.nid.edu. The National Institute of Design (NID) has not yet announced the exact date for the release of admit cards for NID Mains 2023 for the M.Des programme. However, as per the tentative schedule mentioned on the official website, the admit cards are expected to be released in the fourth week of May 2023.

The reporting time for NID Studio Test may vary depending on the examination center and the discipline for which the candidate has applied. Usually, the candidates are required to report to the examination center at least one hour before the scheduled time of the exam.
