The National Institute of Design examination is divided into 2 phases.First, you have to fill out the Design Aptitude Test form which is generally available after October from the National Institute of Designs' official website, and then they will send you to admit card through the post.The first phase is the Design Aptitude Test examination. The National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad for the B.Des. in Graphic Design course entrance exam will be conducted in the month of January 2023.
Online application forms are available on the official website of the college.
Fee Structure: The total fee for a B.Des. in Graphic Design is INR 13,88,000 per year.
The first-year fee is INR 3,54,000 PA.
Second-Year fee: INR 3,444,000 PA.
Third-Year fee: INR 3,444,000 PA.
Final-Year fee: INR 3,44,000 PA.

The following facilities are provided at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad.
1. Courses: There are around eight specializations offered in the Bachelor of Design. In the Master of Design, around seven specializations are provided.
2. Hostel facilities: Separate, well-maintained hostels for boys and girls. The college has a student mess committee to oversee the quality of the mess food.

Sir, the National Institute of Design does not have preferred NRI quota seats. Instead, it provides admission in the following categories:
1. General
2. General (EWS)
3. Scheduled Caste (SC)
4. Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL)
5. Scheduled Tribe (ST)
6. Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
Apart from that, it provides admission to 15% of seats under the Foreign Nationals in Overseas (Supernumerary) Category. For this quota, the applicant must be a citizen of a foreign country. Candidates may apply for the academic year 2022,23 if they passed or will take the higher secondary (11,12) qualifying examinations in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc. ). From any recognised educational board, such as the CBSE, IB, ICSE or equivalent, during the academic year 2021,22.

Subjects prescribed for NID that prelims entrance exam include colour terminology, design development, theme and colour interrelationship, design theory, elements and principles of design, theme development, visual logic, memory drawing, exercises on imagination, and doodling, lettering, presentation techniques, picture analysis, story pictures, usage of colour and composition, natural and geometric form, use of measurements, scale and proportions, expression and emotions, Foreshortening and perspective. No, you don't need to necessarily take coaching to crack NIFT and NID exams. It can be done based on self-study. For that, you need to take notes on a few points. Create a timetable and get stick to it. Follow NIFT and NID prescribed entrance books for your preparation. Try to practice sketching every day and taking inspiration from the real life environment around you. Keep browsing through newspapers and the latest magazines as much as you can. Try to be creative. Practice previous year's papers. Also, practice on A4 size sketchbooks and not in A3 as it is the standard size of the answer sheet provided in the examination.
