Candidates need to complete Class 12 to apply for BCA, O Level, and other courses. National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Imphal has a specified a minimum aggregate for 50% for most of the courses. Hence, aspirants with 60% in Class 12 can apply for the course of their choice. The mode of application is online. However, candidates can also collect the form from the centre.

NIELIT Imphal admission is open throughout the year for enrolment of short-term courses. The selection for long term courses is based on NIELIT Entrance Exam. The NIELIT 2024 theory exam for O/A/B/C levels is scheduled to be conducted on Aug 3, 2024, to Aug 7, 2024. The results for the July cycle is expected to be out in October.

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Imphal admission considers NIELIT Entrance Exam score for admission to non-formal courses. NIELIT Exam is conducted on all Indian levels twice in a year. The institute also accepts CUET-PG score for admission to MCA. For most of the formal courses, the selection is based on an admission test conducted by the institute. Besides, the selection is merit-based for short-term programmes.
