 NIFT Chennai offers a total of 305 seat intake for BDes and BDes lateral entry course. The seat breakup for the BDes coursre is 43 as per the specialisations offered in BDes and for the BDes lateral entry its 47 altogether.  The seat allocation has respectively common for all the reserved categories and division is equal for each specialisation. Additionally, 5 seats are given as per each specialisation for NRI and foreign candidates.

Yes, the NIFT Chennai offers a four-year full time degree course in BDes. This course is taught across six specialisations, namely Fashion Design, Leather Design, Knitwear Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design and Fashion Communication.  Admission to the programme, entirely based on the NIFT entrance exam.
