The NRI candidates are also required to give the NIFT Entrance Exam and qualify it. After that the counselling round will began for selection on the basis of exam scores. The NRI candidates who have done 10th and 12th from abroad can get admission into NRI quota which has the same admission process.  However, the fees for NRI candidates are quite higher than usual.

To get admission to MDes course at NIFT Delhi, candidates need to appear for the CAT/GAT exam and have a valid score. Further, candidates who meet the overall cutoff need to participate and perform well in the PI round for admission. Further, candidates must pass graduation in the relevant stream to be eligible to participate in the selection process.

NIFT Delhi and NIFT Shillong both have very good placement records. NIFT Delhi boasts an outstanding 99% placement rate for B.Des students. Top organisations such as Monte Carlo, Future Group, and Bata India hire from there. On the other hand, NIFT Shillong boasts a placement record of roughly 80-85%, with average annual packages of INR 6-7 lakhs and the maximum exceeding INR 20 lakhs. Major organisations from locations such as Bangalore, Pune, and Mumbai participate in the placements. Overall, NIFT Delhi has slightly higher placement rates, although both institutes provide good possibilities and strong business links.

The NIFT 2025 admission cycle will begin with the release of the NIFT exam schedule. Hence, aspirants must know the NIFT entrance exam dates. Considering the past year's dates, the application window for the entrance examination is expected to open in November and close by December month. Additionally, the NIFT Entrance Exam is expected to be conducted in the first week of February.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Delhi offers seat reservations to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/GEN and PWD categories. Thus, these category candidates can apply for admission under these categories. The relevant category certificate has to be submitted for verification purposes. Yes, NIFT Delhi offers a two-year long MDes programme. The PG-level course is offered in a full-time mode. For admission to MDes at NIFT Delhi, the aspirants need to take the NIFT entrance exam. Apart from this, the aspirants must hold a valid bachelor's degree from a recognised university to be eligible for admission. The eligible candidates can visit the NIFT official website to apply.

As per the authorities, aspirants with a valid bachelor's degree from a recognised university in the relevant stream are eligible for admission.
