The timings of the classes are 9 AM to 5:30 PM. It may change based on your weekly schedule.
There's nothing like a learn and earn scheme but you can always work as a freelancer to earn enough money to make your ends meet.

One year course is a diploma course whereas the 4 year course gives a degree. You should first try for BDes or BFTech and keep this one year course as a backup

If you are well determined, then it is not tough to crack the cut off score. You can go through some of the previous years' questions and yes, any course in national institute of fashion technology is worth doing (only if you have interest in it).

The first year at NIFT is the foundation year in which you spend around Rs 1,000 each month on stationary and other materials. In the second year you go to your respective departments (example: fashion design, accessory design, fashion communication) and the expenditure varies from course to course. In fashion designing, there's no limit to the expenditure on fabrics. The fabrics range from 100rs/meter to 2000rs/meter. So to give an estimate on the expenditure is actually not possible. It's completely upto the student and his taste.

It totally depends on the brand name of your B-School and the efforts put in by you. Internship quality also matters a lot.
