Candidates completed graduation/bachelor's degree from any recognised institute/university are eligible for the NIFT Kolkata MFM programme. At the PG level, NIFT Kolkata offers MFM programme with a duration of two years. Admission is done on the basis of a valid score obtained in GAT, followed by a GD/ PI round.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata accepts NIFT Entrance Exam for admission to the B.Des course. As per NIFT Kolkata cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for B.Des was 632 for the General All India category student.
