Hi,
Most colleges start in August and they release the admission forms in November. You can look for polytechnic colleges or colleges with a smaller design program which have space available. You can work on your sketching skills and study for the entrances that you can appear for next year. You can take up internships with designers or brands and work on building a resume.

There is really no comparison between the two courses. B.Design is more into the creative side while F.Tech is more technical. It's best to see what skills you possess and where your interests lie and pick a field accordingly. You can also see what kind of jobs you get after your graduation to see what you prefer

Hi Carelin,
There are numerous question papers that you can find online regarding the entrance exams. There are also a few preparatory books you can find online (the one I personally used for B.Des was by the publisher Arihant). Work on your creative skills and general aptitude skills. Good luck.

Hello Dharmishtha,
Of course, you can, but before embarking on Master's degree, you will have to complete your graduation. That's all. With an increase in population and awareness about grooming, I feel it's the best course that you are thinking of.

Hi Mugunthan,
NIFT has 3 aptitude tests- General Aptitude Test (GAT), Creative Aptitude Test (CAT) and concludes with a Situation Test (ST). The total marks calculated by this set of tests gives you a rank which can help you get your desired course.
Go to http://www.nift.ac.in/ to learn about the courses and for the forms to come out.
To prepare for the entrance, you will have to work on your sketching and various concepts coupled with the basic English, Math, GK and Logic aptitude, etc. Please refer to online papers or books that will help you in preparing for the entrance. Revert back for more queries.

You can apply for a scholarship. Government colleges like NIFT and NID have reasonable fee structure and offer scholarships to deserving students. You can try talking to your college and get help in getting a loan.
