The course can help you became a stylist and works with magazines, movies as a costume designer, visual merchandiser for various brands, image consultant and trend forecaster for companies like Promostyl, WGSN. If you still have questions, you can call up the knitwear department of NIFT, Mumbai. They will guide you and help you apply for the course.

Hi Seema,
According to last year's cut off, OBC rank 611 got the last seat of Fashion Design department in NIFT, Delhi and OBC rank 961 got the last seat of Fashion Communication department in NIFT, Mumbai. So with an OBC rank 612, you can try for FC but it will be tough for FD.

Getting admission through general quota with this rank is a little hard. However, with your OBC rank you will easily get admission in MFM in any of the NIFT centers. If it doesn't work, you can try for an NRI seat. Call the college before hand and ask them about NRI seats.

Group discussion and personal interview are for post graduation courses. Topics for discussion are mostly related to recent happenings . Subjects may vary. In personal interview they ask questions that test your knowledge related to the course. They ask you why you've chosen that course, what makes you stand out etc.
