The placement drive for several departments at NIT Durgapur for 2023 has begun. It was offered at the maximum salary of INR 70 LPA. Microsoft, ICICI Bank, TCS Ninja, PwC, and many more are well-known and respectable recruiters. Recruiters from about 100 different companies took part in the placement drive in 2023. There were 633 students placed.

I did some research and found out that the expected JEE Mains cut-off rank for the SC category is 1520-8740, which was calculated to the percentile, it becomes 98 percentile. So, this shows that the chances are highly unlikely.The candidates should have at least 85-95 percentile to get seats at NIT Durgapur.You can definitely try again next year for this college, we wish you a Good Luck.I hope it will help.Thank You.

As of now, the institute has disclosed the highest package details for BTech. The NIT Durgapur highest package offered to the BTech batch passing out in 2024 was INR 51 LPA. Earlier, the highest package offered to the BTech batch 2023 was INR 70 LPA. This indicates a drop of almost 27% in the highest package from 2023 to 2024 placements. NIT Durgapur admissions are based on national-level entrance exam score for most of the courses. The challenging part is qualifying the entrance exam. Candidates need JEE Main rank for BTech, GATE for M.Tech and IIT JAM for MSc admission. CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT scores are accepted for MBA admission.
