As per the placement report 2022, a total of 786 and 410 job offers were made during NIT Rourkela placement. The cutoff trend for BTech +M.Techin Mining Engineering at NIT Rourkela has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 35458. In 2022, it increased to 53000. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 54879 to 68996 for OBC, 7721 to 6365 for SC, 6415 to 193470 for ST. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 19155 and closing rank was 39174. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 26823 and 74273. Admission to Integrated B.Sc. + M.Sc. in Physics in NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

"NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology will release 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech +M.Techin Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors: The JEE Main score of the candidate The category of the candidate The number of seats available in the course Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released."

Yes, if you have home state quota you may get. In case of NIT Durgapur, people got Chemical, Civil, Biotechnology till the 7th round of counseling but many got even Mechanical in the spot round with rank of 35000 at NIT Durgapur. So stay optimistic.

For last year, the closing rank for Integrated BSc + MSc in Chemistry was 54745 which is very close to this range. This was for General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission. However, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to various courses at NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology.

Cut offs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 25048 and 59818. Admission to BTech +M.Techin Chemical Engineering at NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exams like JEE. Applicants are advised to first confirm the category in which they are applying and then check the cut-offs.
