Both NIT Rourkela and PEC Chandigarh are reputed institutes for engineering. In terms of placements, both institutes have a good track record. NIT Rourkela is one of the premier technical institutes in India and has a strong placement record. The CSE department at NIT Rourkela attracts numerous renowned companies for placements. PEC Chandigarh is quite famous in North India and has excellent placements. The average package being offered is around 16.7 LPA and for CSE it was 25 LPA. You do not have chances to get seat in NIT. You need to score minimum 96 percentile or above to have decent chances of getting seat in an NIT. You can however look for other colleges like Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering & Technology Mangalmay Group of Institutions Brainware University Local University.

The highest package offered during NIT Rourkela placement 2022 was INR 46.08 LPA whereas the highest package offered during NIT Silchar placements 2022 was INR 44 LPA. When compared for average package, NIT Rourkela average package stood at INR 19 LPA whereas the average package offered during NIT Silchar placements 2022 was INR 13 LPA.

However, based on the previous year's opening and closing ranks, you may have a chance to get into the following branches at NIT-RKL:
