Nautical Science

The course does not have any physical eligibility criteria. Some institutes may have their own rules but they are not standard. If you are planning for Merchant Navy, 150 cms is the minimum height eligibility.

Basically, it depends on the college in which you are taking admission, as in some private college they take their own entrance exams and acknowledge the same for the admission and in some colleges they also take admission through JEE Mains score.

Eligibility Criteria for DNS -
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with not less than 60% aggregate marks from a recognized board.

B.Sc in nautical Science is not a technical course. The best job it would be able to get you is of navigator or related. Diploma in Nautical Science is a technical course and there are many vacancies released each year for Diploma holders. For example, Technical Entry in Navy is for Diploma Holders.

For diploma in International Maritime Institute for diploma in nautical science (Cadet course) whose duration is 1 year, the fees are 5,42,000.

For 2019, the extrance exam date for IMU-CET is not yet disclosed but for 2018 batch, the exam date was 2nd June'18 .
