We don't offer B.Sc in Nautical Science. However, we do offer one-year Diploma in Nautical Science course on the completion of which there is an in-house placement on board a ship.

Career as a Merchant Navy could be in 2 fields mainly - Engineer or a Cadet. Other fields could be catering, junior offiecers, etc. Subjects Required :Only PCM students can apply. Entrance Exam
IMU- CET :Indian Maritime University conducts an entrance exam IMUCET for various courses such as B.Sc. Nautical Science, B.Sc. Marine, B.Sc. Marine Catering, etc. You are also required to clear an interview and medical check-up. JEE T. S. Hi Amitesh!
You can apply to the course if you have completed your 10+2 or equivalent securing minimum 60% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) & 50% in English either in (10+2) or 10th standard. Also, you should not be more than 20 years as on 1st October of the admission year. You can register yourself for the admission through the institute's website http://www.himsar.net/admission.html
