To get admission to the IITs for Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering courses at the UG level, you should have at least 75% marks in Class 12 in the PCM subjects. Also, you should give relevant entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced and get excellent marks and rank in the same.Further, you need to complete the college application process in due time. After the exam results are out and you've got your result, make sure to apply for the JoSAA counselling where you will be given a seat for the chosen course. You can then complete the admission formalities by paying the Naval Architecture course fees and confirming your admission.For PG courses also, the process is similar. The only difference is that you should have a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or a relevant field with at least 60% marks and give the GATE exam and participate in the COAP counselling session to be given a seat.

For example, the Indian Maritime University, a well-known institution that offers Naval Architecture courses, has set the upper age limit of 25 years in the case of general category male students, and 27 years for general category female students.
