The NDA exam, which consists of both a written exam and an SSB interview, is administered twice a year. The two sections of the NDA written exam are the General Ability Test (GAT) and Mathematics. The exam consists of 270 questions altogether, with both exams including objective-style questions. In particular, there are 150 questions on the GAT and 120 questions on the mathematics paper. 900 marks are allotted for the NDA exam. The NDA exam is often quite demanding. Candidates who prepare well can pass the test.

The cut off of NDA is announced online on the official website. Candidates can check the cut off marks by logging with the required credentials. The steps to check the NDA cut off marks are given below:• Go to the official website of UPSC• Click on 'Cut off' page from  'Examination'• Select the NDA cut off link• The cut off would be displayed on the screen• Download the cut off.Generally, the NDA exam comprises of 900 marks. NDA answer key will be released separately for Maths and GAT soon after the exam is over. The answer key will be made available for all sets of test booklets-A,B, C, D. The answer key will be released unofficially by coaching institutes in PDF form. There will be a total of 150 questions in GAT. Each section of the exam will be held for 2 ½ hours. The GAT section will be for 600 marks. The GAT section is divided into two parts. Part A comprises English while Part B consists of General Knowledge. The previous year's NDA answer key released by coaching institutes are provided at Shiksha portal.

NDA answer key will be released separately for Maths and GAT soon after the exam is over. The answer key will be made available for all sets of test booklets that is A,B, C, D. The answer key will be released unofficially by coaching institutes in PDF form. The examination authority will release NDA answer key after the completion of the exam. NDA question papers will be released along with the answer key. By checking the NDA answer key, candidates can calculate the probable score of the exam. Candidates can further check the previous year answer keys in the Shiksha portal.

NDA considers a score between 400 and 500 marks to be a secure range and get into the final merit list. Candidates need to pass each subject with a minimum of 25% marks. However, there is no sectional cut-off.Candidates are required to score a minimum of around 25% marks in each subject to clear the NDA Written Examination. Candidates clearing the Written Exam will be called in for the SSB Interview.The number of attempts at the NDA entrance exam is unlimited.

Only unmarried male/female aspirants born not earlier than July 2, 2005, and not later than July 1, 2008, are eligible for the exam. The unofficial answer keys are released few hours after the exam is commenced and are reliable as they are prepared by an expert panel of coaching institutes. Having said that, the unofficial answer key may not be 100% correct as compared to the official answer keys which is published by UPSC. However, the unofficial answer keys can help candidates to predict a tentative score with the help of marking scheme.

If you have lost your NDA roll number, you can still check your NDA result by following the steps given below:a) Visit the official website of UPSC.b) Click on examination tab.c) Click on the active examination tab.d) Click on NDA exam result link.e) The result PDF will appear on the screen.f) Check your name, date of birth and father's name in the PDF to heck your result. To find your roll number, you can use the search function within the PDF as well.If you still want your roll number then you should check your registered mail. The Board sends the roll number and the admit card on the mail.

After declaration of NDA exam results, candidates are required to register on the official website of Army, Navy and Air Force.
