No, it is not mandatory to get 60% in boards for NDA. One just have to study Math and Physics, as main subjects. There is a proper weight to height requirements. But, it will be seen when candidate will be selected in SSB and qualify for the medical test.

There is no minimum percentage required for NDA exam only criteria is that one should have passed class 10th and class 12th or its equivalent and have physics and Maths as main subjects.

Qualification Criteria: For Army Wing of NDA: Candidates should have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board. For Air Force & Naval of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with physics and mathematics subjects.

The application forms for NDA 2019 is available online on the official website of UPSC (www.upsconline.nic.in). Registration Procedure comprises of two steps, first, fill the application form as per the given instructions, and, second, remit the application fee of INR 100, either by online or offline mode.
