Yes, you can take a year drop and can apply for the Indian Navy and Indian Army this year only through the TES scheme. You will directly get admission for B.Tech in navy and army colleges respectively.

Hi Bhuvanesh,
There is only one written test for NDA selection, which consists of 2 sections: Mathematics and General Ability. If you are able to clear this test, you will have to appear for an interview. SSB board then conducts intelligence and personality test for final selection. This process consists of two stages.
Stage I: Comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). You will be shortlisted based on a combination of performance in OIR Test and PP&DT.

It is always better to go ahead with Science stream. The syllabus included for the NDA exam mainly comprises of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at high proportion. This is more and enough for us to decide which stream to choose.

You should simply get minimum 60% in your class 12th examination, and then you should apply for National Defense Academy examination, if you cleared the written examination, then you will be called for SSB interviews, if you get recommended over there as well, then you have the medicals, and if you clear your medical, then you get your joining for NDA as an air force cadet.
