It is recommended that NDA preparation begin as soon as possible, following the 10th board exam, to achieve optimal performance in the written exam. After their 12th board exam, some students wish to get ready. They can pass the exam as well, but they will need to dedicate 8-10 hours a day for 8-12 months to studying.

No, when the application is finalized, candidates are unable to change the location of the NDA exam. 7 days following the application process closing, you have the option to make chnages to the application form with the exception of the centre selection. typically, candidates are assigned exam centres in the test city of their choice. In the event that the test centre chosen by the applications is unavailable, they will be assigned to an alternative testing centre.

The NDA exam indeed has a sectional cut-off, but it's not as straightforward as a minimum marks requirement. There's no separate minimum marks requirement for each section in the NDA written exam. You need to score a minimum of 25% marks in each section to qualify for the overall cut-off. This means even if you score very high in one section, a score below 25% in the other section will disqualify you. While there's no specific minimum marks to "pass" each section, focus on performing well overall to ensure you meet the qualifying cut-off, which is the minimum total score required to be shortlisted for the SSB Interview.

The release of NDA question papers depends on when the exam is conducted. For instance:The question paper for the first NDA exam of the year is released by the UPSC within two to three days after the exam is conducted. The question paper for the second NDA exam of the year is typically released by the UPSC on the exam date itself (September 1st) or shortly after.
