To join NDA, you have to take the National Defence Academy exam conducted by UPSC every year twice, once in the month of April and another in the month of September. The syllabus for the National Defence Academy exam is based on class 11th and 12th mathematics and your general ability test. For general ability, you should have basic knowledge of science, history, politics, economics, geography and basic current affairs. After the written test, there is an SSB interview which took place for 5 days after SSB interview is a candidate passes it then he goes for a medical exam after clearing the medical exam they have to wait for the merit.

The pay grade in NDA is according to the government norms which government give to the officers but with good pay scale, you get respect and chance to serve the country if you only want good pay then you have to choose IIT because their package is very high as compared to the officers in defence.

The marks you secured are enough to qualify the exam but the call-up later depends on the cut-off marks, basically, the cut-off marks for Air Force are high and then comes Naval Academy and at the place, Army. The call-up letter generated according to your marks and you are eligible for SSB and once the SSB call up letter gets generate, you have to give the interview and then final merit is prepared.

When you are in college, you can apply for NDA till you are in eligible age. When you are selected and you are in the merit list for NDA, Leave that College. You can keep College as backup. As if you are not selected for NDA and your chances for NDA are over, then continue your college and after completion of your course go for Graduate level entrance exams of armed forces. Good Luck, and I am sure will crack the NDA exam.

Completely depends on your interest. If your quite a patriotic and have that courage to live for country, go for NDA. If technology is your thing and you want to explore its domain, prepare for IIT. Choose the path in which you think you'll enjoy. All the best.

Unfortunately, girls are not eligible to join NDA, in-spite of we woman getting in every stream and proving our-self, this discrimination is bad, but unfortunately we have to abide it. However, the good part is that one can continue their dream to be a part of defense after graduation through various entries, which are as follows:
You can join OTA as an officer through CDSE entry. You can join IAF flying branch through SSC and AFCAT. You can be a ground officer in IAF through CET. If you do your graduation in engineering then you can have oppo
