The annual course fee for MBBS in a government medical college of Odisha is around INR 40,000. According to OJEE, the authority for Odisha NEET counselling, fees to be deposited to government medical/dental colleges is INR 37,950 per annum. Additional fees as prescribed by concerned Govt. Colleges may be collected at institutional level which may vary from institution to institution. On the other hand, annual MBBS fees for private medical colleges ranges from INR 5.5 Lacs to INR 6.5 lakh. OJEE also states, "NRI candidates have to pay four times of the above fees in private colleges."

No, there will not be an OBC category reservation in Odisha NEET 2024 counselling. Such candidates will be considered as open category students for admission purposes. This means, such candidates must secure the NEET qualifying cutoff for the General or Open category candidates as stated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) during the NEET 2024 result declaration. The other eligibility criteria stated by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) counselling committee is also the same as that applicable for the General category candidates. No, admissions to medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses in Odisha are done on the basis of NEET scores only. Scores of OJEE or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will not be considered for medical or allied course admission. Hence, candidates seeking admission to medical and allied courses in the state of Odisha must have appeared, or planning to appear for NEET and qualify for the exam as well. Admission to Odisha NEET counselling will be done for 85 per cent state quota seats and is conducted by OJEE Counselling Committee.

Odisha NEET UG counselling 2024 for the academic year 2024-25 Stray Vacancy or Spot Counselling round has concluded on November 3, 2024. As many as 100 candidates have been admitted seats in this round, which is supposedly the last and final round. Odisha NEET UG counselling process is conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). OJEE conducts the counselling process for the undergraduate medical courses, MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS. It is the state counselling for the 85 per cent State Quota (SQ) seats of the Odisha state. Candidates who qualify for the NEET exam are eligible to participate in this state counselling. The duration of NEET PG counselling depends on number of vacant seats after each round. Usually, the counselling process goes on for over two months time. Each round of NEET PG counselling takes around 15-20 days time starting from registration to reporting. Initial rounds takes a bit more time than last rounds. Candidates have to register online and declare choice for college and course for seat allotment. Registration can be done on the official website.
