Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. The cut off vary for different categories. NEET PG 2024 cut off percentile for the general category students was 50 originally but it was reduced to 15 by MCC. The cut off for SC/ST was reduced to 10. Those who score less than minimum cut off for that category do not qualify for the exam. A merit list is released based on the cut off marks, comprising name of candidates eligible for the counselling rounds. It must be noted that NEET PG result is valid for that particular academic year only and it can't be used next year or so.

With a NEET PG 2023 score of 430, it is impossible to know if you can enrol in a government medical college to study medicine because the admission cutoffs change each year and depend on things like the number of applicants and the availability of seats. However, you could get admitted to several government medical colleges with a score of 430. It is advised that you look into the cutoffs for the universities you are thinking about applying to as well as other possibilities like private medical schools or state quota seats.
