NEET UG Answer Key

The NEET official answer keys are released by NTA, or the National Testing Agency, the exam conducting body. The provisional answer keys are released by NTA and can be downloaded only by the candidates who had appeared for the exam. The provisional answer keys will state the particular question paper set of NEET, followed by the correct answer option. Candidates' OMR sheets will also be available for download along with the provisional answer keys. On the other hand, the final NEET answer key will be released as a single PDF document, which will carry the question-wise correct or the final NEET answer keys. The final answer keys will also indicate whether a question is dropped or if more there is more than one correct answer option. 

Once the NEET answer key objection process is closed, NTA gets the objections reviewed by the expert committee. In case of any change in the provisional answer keys, NTA will release a press release or official notification stating the same. It will properly state whether the question or the answer key options are wrong, or if multiple answer options are correct. Accordingly, all candidates will be marked. NTA stated the resolution for situations wherein it is discovered in the NEET answer key that all answer options are incorrect, or a question has more than one correct answer. The resolutions are given below:If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate. 

The official NEET answer keys were released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body in two phases. The first phase is the provisional answer key. The NEET provisional answer keys are available only to those candidates who have appeared for the exam. On the other hand, the NEET final answer keys is released on the official website of NTA or NEET, which is accessible for all. The responses marked on the OMR Sheet of NEET are scanned and uploaded on the official website of NTA. The responses marked are read and captured by the machines, which can sometimes lead to smudging of the responses. Therefore, there can be errors in the scanned copy of NEET OMR sheet. If a student finds any such error in their OMR sheet, they have the provision to challenge them. Candidates have to pay a processing fee of INR 200 per response challenged. Along with the provisional NEET answer keys, NTA releases the NEET OMR sheets of the test takers. Candidates will be able to download those from the official website of NEET. NEET provisional answer keys are those which are released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), approximately a month after the conduct of the exam. As the term suggests, the provisional answer keys are interim, or may undergo changes, if proven. For this, NTA gives candidates the opportunity to file for objection against one or more questions or answer keys of NEET, by paying a fee of INR 200 per question. NTA also releases candidates' OMR sheets along with the provisional NEET answer keys which can also be challenged. After reviewing the submitted challenges or objections, NTA releases the final answer keys of NEET, which forms the base of computing NEET result. NEET final answer keys are absolute and there is no further opportunity given to challenge against the final answer keys. While the NEET provisional answer keys are available to candidates alongwith the OMR sheets after logging in with their registration credentials, the NEET final answer keys are released on the official websites of NEET and NTA and is available for public viewing. 

NEET answer key, be it the official, or unofficial one, helps candidates calculate their estimated score in the NEET exam attempted by them. By doing so, they will have a fair idea about their qualification chances and can plan or predict the future course of action. In case a candidate calculates a high score in the exam based on the NEET answer key, they may shortlist their choice of medical colleges with a high rank. On the other hand, if their estimated score appears to be low, and chances to get admission to their dream college seems to be low, then they can explore other alternatives in terms of course and colleges where they may pursue their higher education based on their NEET scores. Moreover, if they find a particular question or answer option doubtful, they also have the chance to file objection against it, which may lead to revision of the answer keys, and make the NEET score more accurate and fair.  

After the conduct of the NEET 2023 exam on May 7, the experts from the top coaching institutes released answer key and solutions for each of the NEET 2023 question paper Sets. However, this is the unofficial answer key of NEET 2023. NTA will release the provisional answer keys a month from the exam, which is the first week of June. Candidates will be given an opportunity to submit objections against the provisional answer keys of NEET 2023. The final answer keys will be released along with the result, after analysing the submitted objections. The answer keys by NTA will be the official NEET 2023 answer keys. However, NTA only releases the answer keys, and not solutions. Hence, candidates who wish to check the solutions will have to rely on those released by the coaching institutes. The answer keys and solutions will help candidates calculate the estimated scores and understand whether their answer solving approach was correct or not.
