The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released the results of the NEET 2023 counselling Special Stray Vacancy round on November 10. Up to 302 applicants have been given seats for MBBS, BDS, and BSc nursing. Up until November 15, the institute reporting process was carried out. This brings an end to the NEET 2023 counselling process. The MCC had previously said that the national and state counselling deadlines were to be met on November 15. Between July and November, a total of six rounds of NEET 2023 counselling were held. Candidates were able to register for all four rounds, unlike in prior years. Only the third round of NEET UG counselling, often known as the Mop-up round, was open for registration till last year. The allocation of seats was. Seat allotment was made directly in the fourth or the Stray Vacancy round. 

The registration process for NEET UG counselling is completely online. The step by step process to register for NEET UG counselling is as follows:Visit the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab under the Candidate Activity Board sectionClick on the New Candidate Registration tabRead the instructions and click on 'I Agree' check boxEnter the mandatory details such as NEET UG roll number, NEET UG application number, mother’s name, date of birth and security pinClick on 'Submit'The credentials will be generated and sent to the registered email addressComplete the registration form by entering personal, educational, NEET result and other details and uploading of scanned photograph and signaturePay the registration fee and take a printout of the registration confirmation pageCandidates must ensure that they have completed the registration process. Otherwise, they would not be able to proceed towards choice filling, which will ultimately result in the non allotment of seats. 

The eligibility criteria and other important factors for the Stray Vacancy round of NEET UG counselling are as follows:Candidates should not have been allotted seats in the past three roundsCandidates must have resigned from the allotted seatsCandidates allotted seat in Round 3 should have opted for upgradation in order to participate in the Stray Vacancy round of NEET UG counselling 2023Regarding the Stray Vacancy round of NEET UG counselling 2023, MCC has stated, “If a candidate is allotted a seat in Stray round, he has to join the allotted seat/college. If the candidate does not join the allotted seat, he/she shall be debarred from the NEET examination for 01 Year along with forfeiture of fees."
