Apart from national-level entrance exams, Nehru Institute of Technology (NIT) Coimbatore has the following eligibility criteria for admission:For BE admission, applicants who have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when calculated together are eligible to applyFor ME admission, candidates who hold a BE/B.Tech degree in the concerned discipline are considered eligible to applyCandidates must collect the prescribed application form of the college by remitting the cost of it in cash/DD from any of the admission centersRequired documents include nativity proof, community certificate (in case of SC/ST candidates), non-creamy layer certificate, age proof certificate/birth certificate, and other relevant documentsFor some courses, candidates must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil NaduFor admission to the B.Tech course, interested candidates must have successfully completed a class 12 exam or an equivalent exam with at least 45% marks and English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
