NEST 2018 Eligibility:
Candidates fulfilling the below-mentioned requirements meet NEST 2018 eligibility criteria:
Candidates should clear 12th in science stream from a recognised board in India with at least 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates). Candidates should have cleared their 12th either in 2016 or 2017.

It's not any special. It's like any other course only. 30k could be the starting pay. NEST is only an eligibility test for integrated M.Sc. Simply clearing NEST wouldn't guarantee anything. Not even admission.

NEST 2018 Eligibility:
Mentioned requirements meet NEST 2018 eligibility criteria: Candidates should pass class 12th in science stream from a recognised board in India with at least 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates). Candidates should have passed class 12th either in 2016 or 2017. Candidates appearing for their class 12th exams in 2018 are also eligible to apply. Candidates should have studied a combination of any three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics in classes XI and XII. NEST 2018 Marking Scheme Marking scheme of NEST 2018 differs according to the sections. Also, it depends on the type of questions. Section-1 General Ability has no negative marking. No marks are deducted for any wrong answer. All other subject sections-Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology have negative marking. The exam website says that some questions may have one or more correct answers for which marks can only be earned by marking all correct answers and no wrong answer. The number of questions changes every year for the NEST exam.

National Entrance Screening Test NEST is conducted jointly by National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. The exam is conducted in order to provide admission to candidates in five-year integrated M.Sc.
