National Entrance Screening Test NEST is conducted jointly by National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and Mumbai University-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. The exam is conducted in order to provide admission to candidates in five-year integrated M.Sc. Fill NEST Application Form After successful lo gin, candidates can start filling their NEST 2018 application form. NEST 2018 Eligibility
Candidates fulfilling the below-mentioned requirements meet NEST 2018 eligibility criteria:
Candidates should pass Class XII in Science stream from a recognised board in India with at least 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates).
Candidates should have passed Class XII either in 2016 or 2017. Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams in 2018 are also eligible to apply.
Candidates should have studied a combination of any three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics in classes XI and XII.

NEST 2018 exam pattern is such that the question paper will contain five sections carrying multiple choice questions.
First section of NEST 2018 is mandatory for all candidates. Out of the other four sections, candidates need to attempt any three sections. However, the official website states, "Candidates are permitted to attempt as many subjectsections as they wish. Only the best three subjectscores along with the score in the general section will be counted for evaluation."
Maximum marks candidates can score are 180 marks. Candidates need to complete the exam in three hours duration.

Hi Nirmiti,The NEST question paper has five sections. The first section, which is compulsory for all candidates, includes general questions. The next four sections includes questions on (1) Biology, (2) Chemistry, (3) Mathematics and (4) Physics. You may opt to answer any three of the four sections.
