The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by the National Testing Agency twice a year. The UGC NET exam is held twice a year for the selection of candidates for lectureship and JRF. The candidates can apply for their post-graduate subject or its related subjects only. The UGC NET exam includes two paper. Paper 1 is common for all the subjects while paper 2 consists of questions related to your post-graduation subject only. The questions will be based on the major subject of your post-graduation. For more details, you should solve the previous year papers and mock test papers. If you are interested in lectureship only and want to appear for the NET exam again, let me tell you that the NET exam is held twice a year in June and December Month. The NET exam will make you eligible for the assistant professor and JRF awards and for higher studies as well. If you have completed the post-graduation that is MA. You need not to do any other course for lectureship in private institutes. You need to decide whether you want to do a job or to apply for further studies like Ph.D. The Next UGC NET exam will be held in December and the application form will be released to fill in September month.
