UGC NET 2018 Eligibility:
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Masters degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc.). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. The UGC NET is a national level exam for which you need to have deep knowledge of subject. The NTA will conduct the UGC NET Exam from Dec 2018 which earlier was held by CBSE. The UGC NET Exam consist two papers as explained below:
The UGC NET exam consists of two papers that are paper1 and paper2. Paper 1 have 50 objective type questions or 2 marks each and consists questions related to general intelligence, mental ability, and teaching aptitude. Paper 1 remains common for all the subjects. Hello,
To appear for the UGC NET Exam, you need to complete Master's degree in any of the subjects with around 55% marks. The candidates from reserved category can apply for the UGC NET exam if they have 50% marks in Master's degree programme. As there is no age limit to appear for the UGC NET exam, anyone can apply for the exam. But to avail the scholarship worth INR 25000 per month, the age limit is 30 years (35 years for the female and reserved category students).

Hello Chanikya,
According to the NET exam guidelines, there is no restriction on a number of attempts. But if you want to apply for the UGC NET JRF exam then your age must not exceed 30 years. Till that, you can apply as many time as you want. But if you appear for Assistant Professor then there in no age limit criteria. Hello Akanksha,
The UGC NET and CSIR NET exams are conducted for the selection of lecturer in university, to pursue the PhD and for junior research fellowship. The CSIR NET Exam is conducted for the science stream candidates while the UGC NET exam is conducted for the other stream candidates. The candidates are allowed to apply for the subject of their post-graduation subject and its related subjects only.
