Hello, If you want to become a lecturer or researcher, you need to prepare for the UGC NET Exam and score well in the NET Exam. To appear for the NET Exam, you need to complete Masters in a subject with around 55% marks (50% marks for the reserved and the female candidates). The NET Exam is mainly conducted in more than 80 subjects in India including the commerce and management subject. The students completed the Masters can appear in the UGC NET Exam whereas the result awaiting aspirants of final year Master's degree (those have given the Master's degree exam) can appear in the UGC NET Exam. Hello, First of all, congratulations on completing Masters in Forestry. Let me give you some important details regarding UGC NET Exam. UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is an exam through which candidates are selected for the post of Assistant Professor in various colleges and institutions of India and Junior Research Fellowship is also awarded to the deserving candidates. As you have done Masters in forestry, it will be good to select environment Science as a UGC NET subject. It's the only subject which meets with the syllabus of forestry subject.

No, it is not. The validity of the JRF award letter is two years. NET is a very important exam. If there is any change in it, then it will be in the news.

The old papers of UGC NET are available online from various websites as well as from UGC and CBSE NET websites. But I wish to share that the format has been changed in the recent years and it is heard that the next UGC NET may be conducted by National Testing Agency and they might change something again.
