Hello Greeshma,
Yes, you are eligible for UGC NET exam if you have done post-graduation in comparative literature. But make sure you can fulfill other requirements of the exam eligibility. If you belong to General category then you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters or 50% aggregate marks if you are from SC/ST/PwD/OBC category. You have to fulfill age criteria also I. e. your age must not more than 30 years (for General Male candidates). SC/ST/PwD/OBC/Women candidates get 5 year's age relaxation.

The UGC NET examination has a changed format now. It is a two part examination. There are various publishers who publish books for UGC NET / JRF. Arihant is one of them. But without knowing your subject for which you want to apply and appear for UGC, I shall not be able to say much.

As you said you have a Master's degree in Economics, so you can appear for UGC NET in Economics itself. You don't need to choose any other subject under Economics. Make sure that you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks (For general) or 50% aggregate marks (for SC/ST/OBC/PwD category). If you want to apply for JRF, then your age must not exceed 30 years. For Assistant Professor, this type of conditions are not applied.
