UGC NET 2018 Eligibility:
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master's degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science and Applications, etc.). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. It may be noted minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories is 50%. Candidates who are appearing or awaiting results for their final year examination of Masters degree are also eligible to appear for UGC NET 2018.

The eligibility for this exam is as follows –
The candidate should have a Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) from a UGC recognised university in any of the 100 subjects mentioned on the official website of CBSE UGC NET.

Hi,
As a M.Com student, you can choose commerce subject in NET examination. To apply for this examination, you must holds a post-graduate degree course with minimum 55% marks from a recognised university, final year appearing candidates are also applying for this examination.

Hello Shubhra,
Yes, you are eligible for CSIR NET exam. As you have done M.Sc in biotechnology, you can appear for CSIR NET Chemical Sciences or Life Sciences. If you want to go for JRF exam, then make sure that your age is not more than 28 years and you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks. Or if you want to apply for the position of an assistant professor, you can apply anytime as there is no upper age limit. But you have to fulfil the educational requirement.

The important points to be followed for preparation of mathematical sciences are:
For part A, practice some good books of General Aptitude.
For part B, a practice of your subject is must since you have MSQ (multiple select questions) in which multiple options can be correct.
For part C, again, the subject knowledge is a must. This part also contains MSQ type of questions.

No, an undergraduate candidate is not eligible for UGC NET. Post-graduation is required to apply for UGC NET. Also, science students are eligible for CSIR NET not UGC NET. The difference between these is that CSIR NET is for science students and bachelor degree holders can apply for it, but UGC NET is for arts/commerce students and postgraduate is required for that.

The minimum eligibility to apply for the UGC NET exam is a post-graduation degree. As you have completed the Master's degree in IT, then you are definitely eligible to apply for the UGC NET examination. The next UGC NET exam will be conducted in December.
