Hello Vaibhav, you have not mentioned your percentile but I am sure you know it and also know that it is above the cut off level. Your ranking in SC category is quite good. With this ranking, I am sure you should get a good NIT and a good branch. Yes, it is right to pursue a CS branch in any IIIT rather than a core branch in DTU/NSUT/NIT until and unless you are interested in any of the core branches as I am more interested in Industrial engineering so I've chosen it over any other branch.
