DTU and NSIT are almost equal. Choose the one nearer to your location. If location is not the concern then go for NSIT. It has lesser number of students, so there will be less competition for placements.

No doubt that IIT are always better institutions than any other engineering colleges. They provide you the best environment for study and research. Our Indian government also focus on these IITs in order to make them centre of excellence and promote research activities there.
So according to me IIT Ropar should be prefered.

Hi there,
Your marks are very low and you belong to Madhya Pradesh but considering your OBC quota, you have very little chances to get into DTU in lower preferred branches not in the core branches.

Also, as per the NIRF rankings of 2016 and 2017, IIT Ropar has been ranked as the 3rd best IIT of 2008. Also, these 2008 IIT. Have almost completed a decade and it will be unfair to call them a new IIT. They have established themselves in the past 9 years and are still growing at a very fast rate. Almost all of them (including IIT Ropar) have started shifting to their permanent campus. As far as the facilities are concerned, IIT Ropar is sufficiently e
