Hello Himanshu,
DTU and NSIT are the top most engineering colleges of india. So, you can go with any of them. But, considering mechanical engineeing, DTU is bit more better than NSIT.

Hello Sagar,
It's difficult to say about admission since it depends on dynamic factors. However there are softwares that will predict college in which you can get admission. I am attaching a link that will predict your probable college.

There is no procedure of direct admission in both the colleges. They are government colleges.
You have to clear JEE Mains with good score, then only you will be eligible for admission.

Actually, they evaluate general rank
Category rank is of no use.
Category people get admission on basis of general rank only, they have less cutoff in general rank.

Both DTU and NSIT are Excellent. But if suggested, 1st priority to DTU and 2nd to NSIT. If you got admission in any one take it without hesitation.
Good Luck.

Yes, you may get EC or IC in DTU or IT in NSIT as per last year cutoff.
So keep these institute with mentioned branches at top priority while choice filling to get the early benefits of selection in the 1-3 round.
All the best!
