The New York Institute of Technology is one of the top private universities in the United States. Each year thousands of students from across the United States and all over the world apply for various programs at NYIT. With an acceptance rate of 80%, it is relatively easier for international students to get into the university. The university is relatively selective in admissions. However, for some popular programs, the acceptance rate is much lower and admission may be competitive.

The New York Institute of Technology is spread across three locations in the United States and it has two international campuses. The New York Institute of Technology has two main campuses at Old Westbury in Long Island and at Manhattan in New York City. The College of Osteopathic Medicine of the New York Institute of Technology is the third campus of NYIT located in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Besides this, the university also has two international campuses in Vancouver, Canada and China.
