Yes, the NExT (National Exit Test) exam is expected to be compulsory for BHMS course students in the future, as part of a nationwide initiative to standardize medical education and licensure in India. The NExT exam will serve as a common qualifying exam for all medical graduates, including those with degrees in BHMS, MBBS, BDS, and other medical fields. It will assess a candidate's knowledge, clinical skills, and readiness to practice medicine. For BHMS course students, passing the NExT exam will be necessary to register as licensed medical practitioners and practice homeopathy.
