If you have passed senior secondary exam from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with minimum five subjects, then you are eligible for NID DAT 2024. The National Institute of Design recognizes boards like CBSE, IB, ICSE, or equivalent.The candidate must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria before filling out the NID DAT 2025 application form.Note that all details entered by the candidate in the application form will be checked at the time of counseling. If there is any discrepancy, the candidate may be disqualified.

As per the prescribed eligibility criteria, open category candidates seeking admission to the B.Des programme must be born on or after July 1, 2005. So, you are not eligible for admission.Note that even General-EWS categories have the same criteria as general or open category. However, in case of SC, ST, and OBC-NCL candidates, there is a relaxation of 5-years in the upper age limit. Further, PwD candidates are eligible for 5-year exemption.

The application forms for NID DAT are closed. The application edit window was open from Dec 8 to 10 2023. The exam will be conducted on December 24, 2023. NID DAT application fee is INR 3000. The applications were available on the official website of NID - admissions.nid.edu. For general category students, the fee for NID DAT is INR 3000. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the fee for NID DAT is INR 1500. It two disciplines are chosen, candidates need to pay double.

The NID DAT application form 2024 is currently open online at admissions.nid.edu. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide correct and verifiable information during the application process. If the candidate is found to be using incorrect or couterfeir information, his or her candidature could be cancelled at any stage of the admission process. Further, if the candidate tries to influence, either directly or indirectly, to influence the management or employees, then also the candidate could be disqualfiied.Note that the NID DAT 2024 counseling will have a document verification process. The National Institute of Design will conduct the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs.The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des programme will be conducted in April 2025 (tentative). The NID DAT Mains 2024 exam for the B. Des programme will be conducted in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Kolkata & Kurukshetra. The candidate will be given the option to select the exam city around April 2024. The details of the exam centre, including name and address and reporting time will be mentioned in the NID DAT 2024 admit card. The candidate will be given the option to select NID DAT 2024 exam centres for the DAT Mains exam sometime in April 2024. The test centres will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The application edit window for NID DAT 2024 will open soon after the application form closes. Using the application edit window, the candidate will be able to edit details like their address, applied category, exam centre, etc. However, the candidate can't change the Programme Applied in, Name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Registered Mobile Number, and Registered Email ID. Also, if the candidate changes their applied category, the applicable application fees have to be paid by the candidate. Further, no refund of fees will be made in case of any category change.
