The GATE closing time for both the B.Des and M.Des courses is 9.30 am (30 minutes before the commencement of the exam), after which no candidate will be allowed inside the exam centre. So, make sure that you reach the exam centre at 8 am (the official reporting time).Note that you may have to go through security checks and registration. If you are late, then you may face a lot of trouble, which is not a good thing to experience on exam day.

The NID DAT 2025 exam will be conducted in an OMR-based (offline mode). Note that exam officials will not provide any stationery inside the exam hall. So, you need to bring the following items with you: A blue/black ball-point pen (for filling the OMR sheet), scissor, glue stick, lead pencil (of varying grades), colors (such as oil pastels/color pencils/sketch pens, etc.) eraser, sharpeners, ruler etc. for the purpose of examination.If any of you are wondering, exam offials will also not arrange for refreshments for the candidates. The NID DAT 2025 exam will be conducted for admission to B. Des and M.Des courses. The NID DAT Mains results for the B. Des program will be announced on May 16, 2025. Meanwhile, DAT Mains results for the M.Des programme will be announced on May 6, 2025.The NID DAT results will be declared online at admissions.nid.edu.To check your results, log-in using your email id and date of birth.Such candidates who qualify in DAT Mains will be shortlisted for counseling and seat allotment.

The details of the NID DAT 2025 exam centre, including the name, address, and reporting time will be notified to the candidate through the NID DAT 2025 admit card.The DAT Prelims admit card will be available for download from December 24, 2024 (onward). On exam day, you need to bring with you the NID DAT 2025 admit card and a valid photo ID proof. No candidate will be allowed inside the exam venue unless he or she carry these documents. The list of documents accepted for ID proof will be mentioned on the admit card. Typically, the candidate may carry Aadhaar card, driving license, and passport, as ID proof. But do ensure that the ID proofs are valid.The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam tentatively in the 4th week of December 2024.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has released the admission hanbooks for the B.Des and M.Des courses. It contains the list of exam cities for DAT Prelims exam for each course.As per information given in the M.Des Admission Handbook, the DAT Prelims exam in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kurukshetra, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayawada.The candidate can select their choice of exam city when filling out the NID DAT 2024 application form.

The candidate will be given the option to select NID DAT 2024 exam centres soon after the results of DAT Prelims exam is announced. The test centres will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. In the case of candidates who don't select test cities, the system will automatically allocat test cities based on the availability of seats in respective test centres.
