As per the prescribed eligibility criteria, open category candidates seeking admission to the B.Des programme must be born on or after July 1, 2005. So, you are not eligible for admission.Note that even General-EWS categories have the same criteria as general or open category. However, in case of SC, ST, and OBC-NCL candidates, there is a relaxation of 5-years in the upper age limit. Further, PwD candidates are eligible for 5-year exemption.

Candidates are advised to be thorough in their preparation when they plan to appear for NID that. Being regular in studies is a must when appearing for NID Entrance Exam. If the fee payment window is closed by the institute, you are not eligible to participate in the admission process. Your seat will now be allocated to the next qualifying candidate in the order of merit. For the B. Des programme, the token fees have to be paid from May 25-26, 2023. Meanwhile, for the M.Des programme, the fees have to be paid between May 16 & 19, 2023. The provisional seat allotment letters for candidates who have paid the fees will be available in the 1st week of June 2023.

No, once the candidate pays the token fee, the Institute will not refund it under any circumstances. So, the candidate must pay the seat acceptance or token fee if they have finalized their admission. Also, note that the token fees have to be paid by the candidate only if he or she has been allocated a seat. Also, if the candidate fails to pay the token fees, the seat allocation will be cancelled. These vacant seats will then be filled in the next counselling round.
The token fee for the B.Des program has to be submitted from May 25-31, while the fee for the M.Des program has to be paid from May 18-31, 2023.

The details of the NID that 2023 exam centre, including the name, address, and reporting time will be notified to the candidate through the NID that 2023 admit card. The that Mains admit card for the B. Des programme is available from on April 14, 2023. The candidate after downloading the admit card needs to carefully go through the information mentioned in it, including the allotted exam center, exam timings, reporting time, etc. Note that candidates who arrive at the exam center after the reporting time mentioned in the admit card may face undue difficulties. NID cutoff is the minimum marks that aspirants need to secure in order to get admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses offered at NID campuses. The cut-off would be released at the time of seat allotment. Candidates who meet NID DAT 2025 cut-off in their respective categories will get admission. To determine the cut-off, factors like seat intake, no. of applications, merit ranks of applicants, etc. will be considered. Note that the admission cutoff is not the same as the DAT Prelims cut-off, which is simply used to shortlist candidates for DAT Mains.

The participating institutes of NID that 2023 offers B. Des and M.Des courses. The B. Des programme is available at five participating NIDs and has an intake capacity of 425 seats. Meanwhile, the M.Des programme is three NIDs and has a combined intake of 347 seats. Admission to both B. Des and M.Des courses will be through the NID that 2023 entrance exam. The seat allotment to the above courses wlll be based on respective merit lists which will be prepared considering weighted scores of that Prelims and that Mains.

Aspirants can secure admission to B. Des and M.Des courses offered at NID campuses on the basis of NID DAT 2025 merit rank. Note that merit ranks will be issued to the candidate only if he or she appears in both DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. The candidate has to first appear in DAT Prelims. Shortlisted candidates have to next appear in DAT Mains. The FINAL results for the B.Des program will be declared on May 16, 2025, while final results for the M.Des program will be announced on May 6, 2025.The merit lists will be released at the time of declaration of results. The lists will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Also, the merit list will be considered for seat allotment.In case of B.Des candidates, candidates included in the merit list has to submit campus preferences.M.Des candidates aren't required to submit campus preferences.
