On exam day, you need to bring with you the NID that 2023 admit card and a valid photo ID proof. No candidate will be allowed inside the NID DAT 2023 exam venue unless they carry these documents.
The list of documents accepted for ID proof will be mentioned on the admit card. Typically, the candidate may carry Aadhaar card, driving license, and passport, as ID proof. But do ensure that the ID proofs are valid.

The NID DAT Mains 2023 exam for the B. Des programme was conducted in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Kolkata & Kurukshetra. The candidate was given the option to select the exam city between April 3 (4 pm) to April 5 (4 pm). The details of the exam centre, including name and address and reporting time were mentioned on the NID DAT 2023 admit card. The NID DAT 2023 (Prelims) exam was conducted in 22 cities across India. The candidate had to select their choice of exam centre at the time of filling out the NID DAT 2023 application form.

The National Institute of Design conducted the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program was conducted on April 30, 2023. NID cutoff is the minimum marks that aspirants need to secure in order to get admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses offered at NID campuses. The cut-off would be released at the time of seat allotment. Candidates who meet NID DAT 2025 cut-off in their respective categories will get admission. To determine the cut-off, factors like seat intake, no. of applications, merit ranks of applicants, etc. will be considered. Note that the admission cutoff is not the same as the DAT Prelims cut-off, which is simply used to shortlist candidates for DAT Mains.

The participating institutes of NID that 2023 offers B. Des and M.Des courses. The B. Des programme is available at five participating NIDs and has an intake capacity of 425 seats. Meanwhile, the M.Des programme is three NIDs and has a combined intake of 347 seats. Admission to both B. Des and M.Des courses will be through the NID that 2023 entrance exam. The seat allotment to the above courses wlll be based on respective merit lists which will be prepared considering weighted scores of that Prelims and that Mains.

The FINAL results for the B.Des program will be declared on May 16, 2025, while final results for the M.Des program will be announced on May 6, 2025.The merit lists will be released at the time of declaration of results. The lists will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Also, the merit list will be considered for seat allotment.In case of B.Des candidates, candidates included in the merit list has to submit campus preferences.M.Des candidates aren't required to submit campus preferences.

Yes, if you belong to any reserve category, then it is necessary to upload the required category Certificate. The documents have to be uploaded at the time of filling out the NID that application form. Note that candidates trying to use counterfeit document may be disqualified at any stage of the admission process if caught. The NID DAT 2025 counseling will also have a document verification process. The counseling process for the B. Des programme will commence soon after results are declared.

The NID DAT 2025 Mains exam for B. Des will comprise a Studio Test. The Studio Test will be conducted in offline mode. The candidate will be given the option to select test centre before the test. Test centres will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. DAT Mains exam for the B. Des programme will be conducted in April 2025. Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the M.Des programme will comprise a Studio Test and an Online Interview.
